Shop Background Updated / How to change it yourself
If you want to use your own shop background, it's important to note that obj_shop only draws a sprite as a background, and is using spr_shop_bg for that purpose.
You can see this map when navigating maps in obj_editor, but any changes you make to it won't be reflected in the game as the actual sprite resource spr_shop_bg needs to be updated.
I don't think this is a great way to do it, but when making the series I just decided the fastest way to get a shop background was to make a map in the editor and screenshot it and... voila that's why things are the way they are now.
Ideally we'd just have one object that draws the maps when necessary but that would be a fairly significant change to the code I think so if that ever happens it will be way down the line!
