New Build Finally Created


I'm sorry that it took so long for me to complete this update!

What started out as a "simple save/load fix" turned into lots of changes within the code itself.

Here's a list of some of the fixes:

  • New Save / Load system (this fixes the bug where the wrong music would be playing after loading a game that was a symptom of using the built in game_save/game_load functions
  • Player will now walk on to a warp object properly from all directions (previously the player would only warp too soon from some directions)
  • Saving via the Innkeeper no longer saves multiple times
  • Various other bits and bats

I wouldn't recommend just copy/pasting the objects and scripts back into your project unless you haven't added much yourself. Arrays have often been turned into ds_grids to make saving/loading easier and a lot of things have changed within the code itself. 

Some of the code is also pretty ugly and that's something I'd like to change (and I'd also like to use grids/lists or arrays to store all of the variables that are used in saving/loading, which would be another major change but I'd also like to see if there are any issues with this new build that I have yet to discover.
